のびアニキ
横浜で、のびアニキに逢った。彼からはささやかな勇気をもらったような気がする。ドラえもんのように世界中で愛される日が近い将来必ずやって来る。
なにをしてもドジ、他者とのコミュニケーションが上手く取れないという自らのコンプレックスから生まれたキャラクター。街へ繰り出し、出会うもの / こととの間に新たな関係を生み出すパフォーマンスを行う。
パフォーマンスは映像として収められ、映像作品として発表。また、展覧会場、イベントに出没して、出会う人々をコミュニケーションをとる。黄色いトレーナー、白いシャツ襟、紺の短パン姿という日本の代表的なマンガ / アニメのなかのドジなキャラクター（注）を自らと重ね合わせている。ドジをコミュニケーションツールとすることで、コンプレックスをポジティブな力に変える。
注…藤子・F・不二雄原作によるマンガ・アニメ『ドラえもん』に登場する主人公、どじで運動も勉強も苦手な小学生「のび太」。Nobi-ANIKI is the alter ego of the artist who is a blunderbuss in whatever he does and has a communication complex. The work is a performance in which Nobi-ANIKI goes out into the street and creates relationships with random things he comes across. The performance is recorded and shown as a video work. Nobi-ANIKI makes his appearance at exhibitions and concerts and communicates with the people he meets. He wears a yellow sweatshirt with a white collar and navy shorts - a parody of the outfit Nobita*, a wellknown Japanese cartoon character wears, and identifies himself with this goofy character. By using his goofy-ness as a means for communication, the artist transforms his complex into something positive.
*One of the main characters in “Doraemon” by Fujio F. Fujiko, who is not good at anything.
